The much long-awaited snow clearing clearance operations on Manali Leh Highway has begun for the season 2018-19. Currently, the Manali Leh Highway Status 2018 is closed, but BRO has started the snow clearance operations from Beas Nalla progressing towards Rohtang Pass. BRO commenced the snow clearance operations and they are targeting to open Manali – Rohtang Pass – Keylong once the snow clearing work is done. Three separate BRO teams have started clearing snow between Beas Nalla – Rohtang Pass, Khoksar – Rohtang Pass and Darcha – Baralacha La pass respectively. The BROs team will have to work hard to clear about 30 feet of snow stretches near Rohtang Pass. There has been less snow fall through the entire Himalayas this year. As per BRO, there is about 30 feet of snow around Rohtang Pass and about 10-15 feet is around Beas Nalla. Let us keep our fingers cross and eagerly wait for the road to open to let the adventure begin.
